At the last Geneva Motor Show Italian automaker Ferrari introduced Vettura Laboratorio HY-KERS - the first attempt of a hybrid car.

And now, in his interview to Autocar head of Ferrari, Amedeo Felisa, has officially confirmed that the company is working on a hybrid car, which is planned to equip the twelve-V-twin engine that is now used in the F12 Berlinetta. Automaker is positioning itself as the engine is "the first of a new generation."

According to Amedeo Felisa, the hybrid system is not designed to raise the power level of the car, and serves to increase the cost of fuel consumed. At the moment the new technology is very expensive and in his subsequent work the Italians are going to find ways to reduce its price in order to use a hybrid of all the new models of Ferrari.
